Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage PostgreSQL databases on Linux/Unix systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Perform database administration tasks such as backups, recovery, and migration using tools like pgBackRest and Barman.
• Optimize database performance by analyzing query logs, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to design scalable database architectures and implement efficient data models.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to database connectivity, schema changes, and query execution.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5-8 years of experience in PostgreSQL DBA role with expertise in PostgreSQL internals (data types, functions).
• Strong understanding of SQL queries and ability to write efficient queries for large datasets.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef; familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios or Grafana.
