Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
- Definition and Scoping of IT Security requirements, execution of all IT and Data Security
- related strategies enhancing the reliability and security of banks IT systems and data.
- Overseeing teams that you are responsible for, allocating your resources to ensure that
- projects are being delivered securely with robust IT solutions for the agreed IT Security needs.
- Oversight, planning and execution of any required vulnerability audits, penetration tests or
- forensic IT audits or related investigations. You will need to ensure that any findings are fed
- into projects improving the banks overall IT and Data Security.
- Extensively work on Platform Security, Application Security, Data Security, Vulnerability
- Management, End Point Security, System Administration & Change Management.
- Liaison with CISO and other key stakeholders including managers, programmers and other IT
- Security risk-assessment professionals within and outside the team.
- Oversight on the adherence of Infrastructure and Data Security implementations to the banks
- overall IT, Data and Information Security policies.
- Work towards achieving compliance with any government / regulatory standards and related
- legislations, such as the Data Protection Act, ISO 27001 ISMS standards etc.
- Budget forecasting, financial forecasts relating to the banks IT, Data and Information Security
- projects and implementations.
- Management of partners, key stakeholders, vendors or third-party service and solution providers.
Minimum Requirements of Knowledge & Skills
- Educational Qualifications:
Graduate Bachelors Degree (mandatory).
- Total Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in a hands-on role, with strong exposure to working with technology in a live production environment.
- Competency & Skills Required:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in IT security, specifically working with major firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, or Fortinet. Certifications in any of these platforms are an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of encryption and tunneling protocols such as PKI, IPSec, SSL VPN, and TLS.
- In-depth understanding of application protocols in the context of OSI network layers, including content inspection, load balancing, WAF, IDS/IPS, etc.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and experience working in change-controlled environments.
- Sound knowledge of baseline security requirements and platform hardening principles for both servers and endpoints.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and managing DLP, EDR/XDR solutions in a mid-sized organizational setup.
- Preferred Professional Certifications:
Any of the following: CEH, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer (LI).
