Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the coffee journeyfrom sourcing and roasting to brewing and presentation. This role requires expertise in preparing a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks and cold brews, while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coffee Expertise:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, roasting profiles, and flavor notes.
- Educate customers and team members about different coffee beans and brewing techniques.
- Beverage Preparation:
- Skillfully prepare a variety of coffee drinks, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and cold beverages.
- Maintain consistency and quality in every cup served.
- Equipment Handling:
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Customer Service:
- Provide a welcoming and informative experience for all customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism.
- Team Collaboration:
- Mentor junior baristas, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Assist in training sessions and workshops.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Place orders and manage inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.
Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee sourcing, roasting, and brewing methods.
- Proficiency in latte art and cold beverage preparation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing demands.
- Passion for coffee and commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized coffee training program.
- Experience in conducting coffee tastings or educational sessions.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory software.
