Designation: Data Engineer,
Experience: 3-4 Years,
Location: Tardeo, Mumbai Central
Shift: Hybrid - 3 Days(Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from office)
Position Overview:
Were looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer II to join our growing data team. Youll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and ready to drive key business decisions. This is a mid-level role ideal for someone with a few years of experience in data engineering, looking to take on more ownership and make a measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support data needs across the organization.
- Optimize data systems for performance and reliability in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP).
- Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
- Implement and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
- Proficient in SQL and one or more data pipeline frameworks (Apache Airflow, dbt, etc.).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Golang).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and version control (Git).
- Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building reliable data systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with real-time data processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
