The current job opening is in Fiji which is a small island 3 hours (by flight) from Australia & New Zealand.
About Fiji
Fiji is a small island in the South Pacific with total population of 900,000. Around 30% of the population speaks in Hindi and is Indian. English is the first language in Fiji, whereas, Hindi is the second spoken language.

KRA's
Financial Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank statements, and company accounts to ensure accuracy
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial documents.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate periodic and ad hoc reports for management, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Assist in creating budgets and forecasting financial performance.
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and recommend tax strategies.
- Respond to audits and tax inquiries from government agencies.
Internal Controls
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions and processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
- Manage aging reports to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain good vendor and client relationships.
Payroll Processing
- Handle payroll calculations, deductions, and distributions.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and reporting requirements.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll issues.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance and decision making
- Support investment and cost-saving initiatives.
Skills Required
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
- Proficient in accounting software such as MYOB, Infinity and MS Excel
