Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a team of skilled Linux developers specializing in cybersecurity and Bash scripting. This leadership role is important in developing, enhancing, and maintaining secure Linux-based platforms for medical devices, ensuring excellence in quality, compliance, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Linux and cybersecurity developers, encouraging a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Define team goals, conduct performance evaluations, and drive professional growth and skill development aligned with organizational objectives. Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of project milestones. Project & Technical Management Plan, prioritize, and oversee software development activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements for medical devices. Collaborate with technical leads to ensure robust Linux system configurations, secure software architecture, and automation strategies are effectively implemented. Monitor project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable Linux solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as the primary technical and organizational interface between development teams, QA, DevOps, Product Management, and international stakeholders. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans for the development team. Ensure clear and effective communication across all project phases, addressing challenges proactively. Quality, Compliance, and Innovation Drive the adoption of continuous integration, automated testing, and build optimization practices to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery. Monitor and integrate emerging trends in Linux, cybersecurity, and automation to promote technology innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in people managerial or engineering management role. Strong background in Linux systems, cybersecurity, and Bash scripting within regulated industries (preferably healthcare or medical devices). Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of Linux system architecture, hardening techniques, and security protocols. Hands-on knowledge of automation, scripting (Bash/Python), and modern DevOps practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional international teams. Familiarity with secure software development lifecycles (SSDLC) and medical device compliance standards.
