- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing strategic projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role. Preferred qualifications: Experience in any of the following: Machine Learning, Ad Quality, Search, Data Analysis. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team to improve the quality and coverage of the local search ads. Lead efforts to uncover new opportunities that fuel the growth for the team. Design and develop next generation algorithms, models and systems to improve the quality and coverage of the local search ads. Work on projects spanning a range of technical domains including, ML feature engineering, image/video quality, quality experimentation, logs analysis, advertiser reporting, and production stability. Dive deep into understanding the user and advertiser needs on local queries and evaluate our whole page ads quality. Engage with cross-functional teams to drive solutions. Create documentation, sustainable processes, and principles that allow the team to iterate faster. ,
