Job Description
As a Software Engineer and a member of a dynamic and multi-functional Agile development team, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and unit testing product features with an eye towards user-centric workflow accuracy within our scientific and healthcare suite of products.
To be successful in this role you need a real passion for quality software, a dedication to customer happiness, and an ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
You will need a positive attitude, persistence, a love of problem solving, and the ability to communicate with people at all levels of a product development organization. Essential Functions Apply machine learning and AI techniques to analyze data and generate predictive insights.
Develop and integrate advanced analytics models within Azure Synapse and Power BI dashboards.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business needs into data science projects. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills needed to be successful Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and processes:?This allows the Data Scientist to identify relevant features and patterns within the LIMS data. Familiarity with clinical data and its limitations:?Knowledge of test types,?reference ranges,?and potential data anomalies ensures accurate interpretation and analysis.
Awareness of clinical terminology and procedures:?Ability to communicate findings in terms understandable to lab directors and clinical staff.
Understanding of relevant clinical research methods and statistical analysis:?This helps in designing reliable and impactful clinical studies,?particularly if predictive models are involved.
Additional Skills: Problem-solving and critical thinking skills:?Ability to identify research questions,?formulate hypotheses,?and analyze data to find meaningful insights.
Collaboration and communication skills:?Effectively work with other scientists,?engineers,?and clinical staff to understand their needs and communicate findings clearly.
Ability to prioritize and manage workflow:?Manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver impactful results.
Experience working with healthcare data and regulations:?Knowledge of regulations like HIPAA and data privacy protocols for secure and compliant data handling.
Technical Skills: Strong foundational knowledge in data science:
Proficiency in statistical analysis,?machine learning algorithms,?and modeling techniques. Experience with big data tools and platforms:?Familiarity with platforms like Azure Synapse and related tools for data handling and processing.
Programming skills:?Expertise in languages like Python or R for data manipulation,?model development,?and analysis.
