Job Description
Dear Candidate,
We are hiring Thermal Design and Simulation Engineer.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Candidate should have good understanding of fluid dynamics & Heat transfer fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Experience in thermal design of natural convention and conduction cooled systems is must
- Experience in using CFD tool Flotherm and Flotherm-XT to carry out thermal design is must
- Experience in heat sink design (heat pipe, vapor chamber), Fan selection, Thermal interface material selection and application
- Must have sound working knowledge of practical thermal testing methods
- Candidate should have prior experience of thermal testing on wireline and wireless telecom products
- Candidate should be enthusiastic to explore and develop new test methodology
- Candidate should be keen to design and develop advanced cooling solutions using technologies like heat pipes, vapour chambers
- The selected candidate is expected to have strong documentation skills, and should bring a disciplined and thorough approach to assignments, including preparing well-organized thermal test reports, simulation reports and presentations using MS Office tools.
- Experience in generating CAD models of heat sinks, thermal interface materials and coordinate with vendors to address manufacturability, cost, reliability, quality
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors in Mechanical engineering or masters degree in Fluids and Thermal Engineering or related field
- Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in thermal design within the telecom domain, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- Extensive experience with Flotherm and Flotherm-XT tool.
- Hands-on experience in using CAD tool Solidworks
- Deep understanding of telecom industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Other Skills:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments and levels.
