Cloud Transformation, Infrastructure and Enterprise Solutions (C-TIES) team delivers the following capabilities for Pfizer. Business application platforms supporting Pfizer s enterprise application and critical business processes. Infrastructure allowing business traffic to travel where it needs to go, internally and externally, along with the appropriate access controls. C-TIES secures Pfizers most important information assets through world class controls and protections and enables Pfizers business results by making security an enabler and not a roadblock to achieving business results.
The Manager will perform day to day support functions related to Pfizer s WAN, Internet and cloud DMZs. Specific responsibilities include performing analysis for Internet offload, responding to incident tickets, supporting implementation of new cloud services, and updating related support documentation. The position will focus on WAN, DMZ and Cloud engineering which will also encompass working with application support teams, Global information security and monitoring/automation teams.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the evaluation and definition of WAN, DMZ and Cloud design standards, including technical design documents and maintaining physical and logical diagrams.
  • Support collaboration efforts in the research, development, and deployment efforts of new WAN, cloud services, technologies and features.
  • Support WAN and DMZ related infrastructure changes from requirements to implementation, including design, analysis, testing and optimization.
  • Assist and collaborate with other technical teams in support of extended network strategies such as IOT Internet of Things and guest wireless.
  • Collaborate with other teams in development of tools for network Infrastructure automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational teams, FW engineering, Network Operations, Global Information Security, DDI engineering to develop global standards for network services.
  • Support defined periodic failover testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Install and configure network hardware and software in conjunction with global security and monitoring requirements.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor s Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity or engineering
  • 10-15 years experience working in a business/corporate environment working in a network capacity
  • Demonstrated experience with IP routing and the different protocols in a large IP network ( BGP experience preferred )
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cloud services such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Working knowledge of network Security components such as FWs and IDSs
  • Basic understanding of IP protocols/service/functionality (DNS, VPN/Tunnels, VLANs, NAT, Firewalls, LACP, 802. 1Q trunking, VRRP), Knowledge of Layer-2 network technologies including Ethernet WAN, Knowledge of IP related protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP-4, OMP, and MPLS
  • Ability to troubleshoot/debug issues, determine causes, and drive resolution.
  • Familiarity with internet DMZ design, network and security components
  • Ability to create Low Level Designs (LLDs) engineering documents associated with the design, deployment, integration, or decommissioning of Pfizer Network equipment.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Previous network experience gained through academic research and skills gained from working experience
  • Professional level Industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent expertise)
  • Must understand IP network and security components
  • Ability to create Low Level Designs (LLDs) engineering documents associated with the deployment, integration, or decommissioning of Pfizer Network equipment;
  • Support DMZ associated processes and maintain up-to-date and accurate procedural documentation through collaboration with other engineering teams.
  • A working knowledge of ITIL framework
  • Willingness to contribute fresh and innovative ideas
  • High technical aptitude; quickly learns new skills
  • Change agile; must take action on projects quickly
