Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a hands-onArchitectwho is extremely passionate and versatile in learning new technologies very quickly and contributing to key initiatives at Euromonitor. Some of the key responsibilities of theArchitectinclude working with a globally distributed Architecture Team, defining solutions for key projects and initiatives, and bringing in best practices to improve developer productivity.
You will have technical ownership of end-to-end architecture and solution development right from technology evaluation, running POCs, and seeing them through to Production, while working very closely with engineering and product teams influencing technical decisions, features, and the roadmap.
We expect you to create a strong understanding of the business priorities and success measures to design solutions using PaaS and SaaS components, in a DevOps/CI-CD environment using coding practices adhering to SOLID principles and Clean Architecture.
Requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define solution architecture.
- Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of functional and non-functional quality.
- Maintain deep technical skills in key relevant areas and develop a good awareness of trends and competitive insights, while sharing this knowledge with the technical community.
- Lead the design and development of technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Participate in Design and Code Reviews, to ensure a high degree of quality and to ensure Standards, Patterns, and Architecture are maintained.

Preferred candidate profile
- Extensive experience in building data-oriented products, with a minimum of 80% hands-on development contribution.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure CosmosDB
- Experience in .NET Core, C#,
- Solid experience of the Azure cloud platform, and other cloud stacks.
- Skilled in cloud-based database technologies.
- Feels comfortable with containerization and container orchestration with Kubernetes, preferably within a Microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of application security, performance, and resiliency.
- Good understanding of identity standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML).
- Basic understanding of enterprise architecture patterns, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, microservices, APIs, and data platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver quality solutions.
