Job Summary:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations of the
campus, ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors. This role
involves managing main gates, security guards, implementing safety protocols, and
collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain a secure educational environment.

Responsibilities
1. The Security Supervisor at the main gates is responsible for overseeing the safety
and security operations at the university's entry points.
2. This role involves supervising security personnel, ensuring compliance with
university policies, and maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, and
visitors.
3. Monitoring the entrance and exit of vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring proper
identification and authorization.
4. Carrying out of frequent rounds, patrolling along the boundary perimeter wall of the
entire campus premises.
5. Devise and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization
and its assets.
6. Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and
vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction.
7. Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or
incidents.
8. Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during
security emergencies.
9. Educate and train security guards on duties, protocols and emergency response
plans.
10. Regularly inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) to ensure
proper functioning and upkeep.
11. Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive
reports with improvement recommendations.
12. Collaborate across departments to integrate security measures into all operational
facts, including events, facility management, and employee safety.
13. Ensuring seamless access and effective management of the material gate pass,
visitor pass mechanism and hostel students entry/exit through an security
automation system.
14. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain
calm under pressure.
