Job Description

You will be a member of Global Business Services supporting the Inbound Transportation team. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks and duties relating to the transit of freight. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
 
About the Process & Role
  • Routes shipments to distribution centers by building loads, including load exceptions; designating carriers; determining load ratings and fees using transportation management systems and other resources; coordinating with team members to find alternative solutions; and elevating exceptions to leadership.
  • Troubleshoots shipment problems and load and shipment exceptions and re-assignments by researching the root cause of issues for carriers and suppliers, re-assigning, and tracking loads in the event of failures and reporting exceptions to the appropriate parties.
  • Communicates with and prepares daily reports for traffic leadership, merchandising, replenishment, carriers, and suppliers on events, loads and purchase order tracking by ensuring on time delivery to distribution centers, stores, clubs, and consolidators; and monitoring and responding to suppliers and carriers communications to ensure product is delivered on time and in full.
  • Provides customer service for internal customers, suppliers and carriers by providing education on Walmart procedures; gathering all pertinent information from carriers, suppliers, replenishment, store planning and marketing, entering the information into the transportation system; tracking and tracing all purchase orders and loads created in advance of events; alerting internal and external customers regarding the status of shipments; and, coordinating with consolidation and DC operations to ensure loads related to event programs arrive to meet the delivery window.
  • Develop and expand skills and knowledge of all processes within department by pursuing cross training and taking classes; sharing knowledge and experiences with peers; and participating occasionally to validate new functionality in systems.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities in transportation by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and exceptions; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the open-door policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Daily request facilitation the incoming volumes and driving resolution
  • Monitoring the team mailbox on regular intervals to ensure all received queries are responded to within the stipulated time.
  • Ensure that requests with a tendency of escalation are forwarded to the SME and Manager so that relevant action can be taken to ensure timely response and escalation management.
  • Work on identifying enhancements that can streamline the process and enhance the end user experience.
  • Supporting new work transitions within the team and coordinating with shifts
  • Communication Skills - Excellent oral and written English
  • Advanced problem solving, project management experience.
  • Ability to drive Projects.
Shift Model
  • 6:00 pm to 2:30 am IST hours.
  • 5 days working with roster off.
  • Flexible working in US and regular IST shift.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Graduate in any field.
  • 1 - 3 years of work experience in access provisioning, IAM, MIM.
  • Knowledge of Incident management tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Procure It, Mainframes.
  • Exposure to work inflow tools and tools such as CRM experience, MS Office, Zoom, call-center style softphones. Tableau, Alteryx, SQL experience are huge plus, though.

Minimum Qualifications...
Bachelor s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field OR 2 years experience in operations, retail, project management, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications...

1 year s Walmart Home Office experience., Master s degree in Business Administration.
