Website: https://researchershub.in Founder Portfolio: https://labs.dese.iisc.ac.in/zenlab/people/manikantan-r/ Role Description: This is a hybrid, commission-based or full-time role for a Project Vendor and Business Development Consultant Embedded/IoT Projects at Protonical Researchers Hub. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Bringing in new clients and projects related to embedded systems, IoT, or electronics. Managing relationships with partners, vendors, and clients. Supporting proposal writing, cost estimation, and project planning. Assisting in product-market fit discussions with clients and research teams. Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid remote work flexibility available) Key Responsibilities: Identify and onboard new clients from startups, industries, and academic institutions. Promote Protonicals services in embedded systems, IoT, and product development. Understand client requirements and draft initial project scopes and proposals. Collaborate with internal engineers to prepare technical documents and demos. Manage communications between clients, vendors, and the technical team. Ensure a smooth handover of project execution to the in-house team. Qualifications: Proven experience in business development or project acquisition in the tech/engineering sector. Familiarity with embedded systems, IoT, electronics, or industrial automation domains. Strong client engagement, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and network efficiently. Engineering or tech background preferred (not mandatory if you have proven results). Bonus: Previous experience bringing in R&D projects, academic-industry partnerships, or MVP development contracts. Compensation: Flexible Commission-based or Retainer + Commission depending on experience and performance. High incentive for successful project closures.
