Were now hiring a skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer in Bangalore to lead our quality automation efforts and help ensure our platform is fast, reliable, and a joy to use.

What Youll Do
You will be the go-to expert for everything automation testing related. Youll work closely with our backend, frontend, and product teams to ensure every release is fast, stable, and high-quality. You'll take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) in an AI first way with Playwright MCP and our internal AI Process.
- Implement and optimize the Page Object Model (POM) for scalable and maintainable test code
- Own the automation strategy across UI, API, and database layers
- Design and execute API automation tests using Postman, SoapUI, and REST-assured
- Build SQL queries for backend data validation and database-driven testing scenarios
- Write high-quality, reusable, and reliable test scripts to validate complex user flows and system integrations
- Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins)
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA analysts to define test plans, coverage, and acceptance criteria for each feature
- Perform exploratory and regression testing for major releases to uncover critical bugs
- Monitor and continuously improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and build stability
- Explore and integrate AI-assisted testing tools and methodologies (e.g., smart test generation, test flakiness detection)
- Stay updated on emerging trends in automation testing, AI in QA, and CI/CD evolution
What Were Looking For
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for a Senior QA Engineer who loves building automation frameworks, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about quality.
Heres what were looking for:
- 5+ years of provable hands-on experience in test automation for web-based SaaS products
- Strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript-based automation using Cypress or Playwright (required)
- Proven experience or a willingness to learn AI first methods for automation testing
- Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks with Page Object Model (POM)
- Strong SQL skills for backend database testing and validation
- Solid experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, and/or REST-assured
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) branching, PR reviews, conflict resolution
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum product teams and participating in sprint ceremonies
- Solid understanding of QA best practices across functional, regression, integration, and API testing
- Excellent debugging skills ability to analyze logs, identify failures, and troubleshoot issues independently
- Comfort with basic cloud environments (AWS preferred) and containerized test execution (Docker bonus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and designers
- Interest and enthusiasm for exploring AI tools that enhance testing e.g., AI-based test generation, defect prediction, intelligent automation
- Passion for delivering high-quality, reliable software to users
- Must be based in Bangalore and able to work in-person from our Ashok Nagar office
Bonus Points For
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Kibana)
- Prior experience testing mobile apps (Appium, mobile web)
- Exposure to security testing fundamentals
- Knowledge of cloud testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
