Job Description
- We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on civil construction sites. You will work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure all electrical aspects of the construction meet safety, functionality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and review electrical layouts, load calculations, and single-line diagrams for buildings and infrastructure projects. Coordinate electrical installation activities on-site (lighting, power, fire alarms, grounding, etc.). Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with codes and project specifications. Liaise with utility providers for connections, approvals, and permits. Provide technical support during construction, including issue resolution and change management. Ensure that electrical work is executed safely and within the project schedule and budget. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure electrical standards are maintained. Prepare reports, progress updates, and technical documentation. Assist in the procurement of electrical materials and supervise subcontractors work. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within civil or construction projects. Knowledge of local electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, or regional equivalents). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team, often in outdoor or site-based environments. Preferred: Experience with large-scale building, road, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling). Licensed/registered engineer or pursuing professional certification.
