- Position: Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor Department: Interior Design & Product Design Location: University Institute of Design Type: Full-time | Academic About the Institute The University Institute of Design is built on the principles of innovation, critical inquiry, and real-world impact. We blend design education with emerging technologies, sustainability, and cultural relevance. Our programs are studio-intensive, research-driven, and rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration. Role Overview Were looking for passionate educators and design thinkers to shape the next generation of interior and product designers. Youll lead academic delivery, mentor students, drive research, and actively contribute to the evolving discourse in design. Whether you bring industry insights, academic depth, or a mix of both, your role is to inspire, challenge, and elevate. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver curriculum for UG/PG programs in Interior Design and/or Product Design Lead design studios, critiques, and hands-on workshops Guide research, practice-based projects, and final year capstones Mentor students in developing portfolios, professional identity, and design thinking Collaborate on curriculum development that integrates sustainability, material innovation, technology, and human-centered design Initiate or contribute to funded research, publications, exhibitions, or industry projects Foster partnerships with industry, cultural institutions, and design networks Contribute to institute-building activities, outreach, and quality assurance processes Qualification & Experience For Professor: PhD in Design or related field + minimum 10 years of teaching/research/practice For Associate Professor: PhD or Masters in Design with strong academic/industry experience (minimum 8 years) For Assistant Professor: Masters in Interior/Product Design or equivalent + teaching/practice experience (minimum 2 years preferred) Professional experience, studio leadership, publications, or exhibitions are highly valued. Cross-disciplinary expertise (architecture, digital fabrication, sustainability, ergonomics, etc.) is a plus. Desired Skills Strong design portfolio or research/publication record Clarity in teaching and critique Knowledge of tools such as Rhino, CAD, Revit, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar Awareness of emerging trends in spatial design, circular design, materials, and user behavior Comfort with studio-based pedagogy and iterative learning Ability to work across disciplines and contribute to a culture of experimentation and innovation Submit your CV to hidden_email,
