Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Manager with 10+ years of experience in data science, presales, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data science, machine learning, and AI, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can engage in presales activities, manage complex projects, and deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver innovative AI and data science solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning models.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data science, software development, and project management.
- Collaborate with sales and business teams to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Develop and present technical proposals, PoCs, and demonstrations, acting as a subject matter expert in client meetings.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Monitor project progress, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact during project execution.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture through regular meetings, performance reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and career growth.
- Stay updated on AI and data science advancements, driving innovation and adoption of new technologies.
- Contribute to the companys data science strategy and roadmap.
Key Technical Stack and Expertise:
- Programming Languages: Python, R, Java, SQL
- Machine Learning Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras
- Data Science Tools: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn
- Big Data Technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Hive
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (SageMaker, Redshift), Azure (ML Studio, Databricks), GCP (BigQuery, AI Platform)
- Modeling Expertise: Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time Series Analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision
- A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and implementation of A/B tests, multivariate testing, and statistical analysis to drive data-driven decisions
- Data Engineering: ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data lake management
- DevOps and MLOps: CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in presales activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and technical demonstrations.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, tracking, and delivering complex projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with data science tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or data science (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Professional Data Engineer).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
