Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Participate in the preparation of manhour estimate, Preparation of document register, schedule and estimates.
  • Review contract requirements for project execution, Review client document, preparation of the deliverables list, prepare and check the following: - Piping specifications, SP item Data Sheets, Valve data sheets, Piping wall thickness calculations, Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot plans and General Arrangement (GA) drawings
  • Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
  • Participates in design reviews and provides specialist piping, jumper or flowline design advice to other engineers.
  • Preparation and checking of stress analysis reports in Triflex/Autopipe software. Prepare the nozzle load and pipe support load and coordinate with mechanical and structural as required
  • Demonstrated ability to independently create functional & cost effective designs that meet complex specification requirements.
  • Vendor drawings review for Valve and Specialty items
  • Able to work independently and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred candidate profile


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience analyzing off shore or subsea equipment in the oil & gas industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of engineering related to Layout & piping materials and piping systems of off shore oil and gas industry, codes, standards / specs.
  • Must be proficient in use of piping analysis programs such as
  • Autopipe, Triflex , Caesar II
  • Expert knowledge in ASME VIII - Boiler & Pressure vessel codes, Stress linearization & Stress classification concepts (Linear /Non Linear analysis), HISC assessment
  • Knowledge of international off shore piping standards and design codes such as
  • ASME B31.8, ASME B31.3, DNVGL-RP-F112 andNORSOK Standards
  • Profi cient in Vortex Induced Vibration analysis and Operational Fatigue life assessments
  • Knowledge in Collapse pressure and pipe buckling check as per DNV ST F101
