Job Description
- Final role will focus on 6070% of these based on the candidates
- Thermal Design & Energy Efficiency
1. Analyze and optimize refrigeration cycle parameters (coil design, airflow)
2. Work on energy efficiency improvements (ISEER, EER) using simulation tools and data
3. Assist in thermal design of accessories such as drain pump modules, ducted panels, etc.
4. Use tools like CoolPack, ANSYS, or Excel-based psychrometric calculations to optimize
5. Participate in passive/solar cooling evaluations for hybrid systems - Performance Testing & Validation
6. Set up test benches (indoor/outdoor) for full system validation
7. Monitor performance data: power input, cooling capacity, air temperature & flow
8. Conduct seasonal performance testing under various ambient conditions
9. Ensure test plans meet IS 1391, ISO 5151, and BEE protocols
10. Assist in documentation, report generation, and audit support for certifications - Thermodynamics & HVAC fundamentals
- Refrigeration Cycle Analysis, cooling load calculations
- Basic instrumentation: thermocouples, power meters, flow sensors
- Data logging & analysis (Excel and similar tools preferred)
- Simulation tools: CoolPack / MATLAB / ANSYS / OpenFOAM (any one is a plus)
- Basic understanding of BEE/ISO testing procedures
- Strong documentation and report-writing abilities
- Bonus: Awareness of Solar HVAC concepts or accessories like auto-clean mechanisms
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical / Thermal / HVAC / Energy / Mechatronics
- Hands-on project or internship experience in HVAC or thermal systems preferred
- Must be willing to work hands-on in lab and field environments
- Exposure to full-stack AC R&D (including solar & smart AC integration)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a multi-skilled engineer who can contribute to both thermal
system design and performance validation for our next-generation split and
solar air conditioners. This role bridges the R&D of coils, fans, and
refrigerant cycle optimization with real-time lab and field testing,
performance logging, and compliance certification.
You will work closely with the Power Electronics, Accessories, and Service
teams to optimize efficiency, support innovation, and ensure the product
meets IS/BEE standards.
