Job Description

Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily workshop operations for heavy vehicles.

Ensure timely diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, buses, and other HVCs.
-
Allocate tasks to technicians and mechanics according to skill level and workload.
-
Monitor repair and service jobs to ensure quality and timely delivery.
-
Implement and monitor workshop safety procedures and compliance.
-
Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, parts inventory, and staff attendance.
-
Liaise with procurement for spare parts and workshop supplies.
-
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling.
-
Train and guide technicians and support staff to improve skills and performance.
-
Prepare and present reports on workshop performance, job completion rate, and costs.

Coordinate with other departments such as fleet operations and logistics.
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or related field.

5+ years of experience in managing a workshop for heavy vehicles.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, and diagnostics.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in workshop management software and MS Office.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience with fleet maintenance in transportation or logistics companies.

Certification in automotive maintenance or HVC technical training.

Knowledge of OEM standards and technical bulletins.
