We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee the operations of our heavy vehicle body repair unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the repair, refurbishment, denting, painting, and finishing of heavy commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, and trailers. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Manage the complete bodyshop operations for heavy vehicles.
Supervise and coordinate body repair, denting, welding, painting, and polishing activities.
Ensure all repair jobs meet manufacturer and quality standards.
Allocate work to technicians based on skill level and job requirements.
Monitor repair turnaround times and improve efficiency in processes.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.
Coordinate with insurance assessors, workshop managers, and customers.
Conduct quality checks and final inspections before vehicle delivery.
Maintain inventory of paints, consumables, tools, and bodyshop equipment.
Train and develop team members in repair techniques and safety protocols.
Prepare and manage estimates, repair orders, and job costing.
Provide timely reports on productivity, costs, and workflow.
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Automobile Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in bodyshop operations, especially with heavy vehicles.
In-depth knowledge of body repair processes, welding, denting, and refinishing.
Familiarity with HVC body structure, chassis alignment, and panel repair.
Strong team leadership and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in using bodyshop management software and Microsoft Office.
Good communication and customer handling skills.
Experience with commercial transport fleets, logistics companies, or dealerships.
Certification in auto body repair or refinishing.
Exposure to OEM guidelines and advanced repair technologies.
