Job Description

Oversee day-to-day operations of the spare parts department for heavy vehicles.

Maintain optimal stock levels for fast-moving and critical spare parts.
-
Identify and procure genuine parts from reliable suppliers and OEMs.
-
Manage the parts warehouse receiving, storing, labeling, and issuing of parts.
-
Ensure accurate cataloging and tracking of all parts using inventory software.
-
Coordinate closely with workshop and service teams to meet part requirements.
-
Reduce lead times and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
-
Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors to control costs.
-
Implement stock audits, FIFO method, and loss prevention measures.

Handle warranty claims and defective part returns.

Prepare reports on inventory status, consumption trends, and procurement costs.

Train and supervise the spare parts team on procedures and software.

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Supply Chain Management.

Minimum 46 years of experience in spare parts management in the HVC sector.

Strong knowledge of truck, bus, trailer, and heavy vehicle components.

Proficient in spare parts software (ERP/DMS/Inventory tools).

Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

Familiar with inventory control methods, warehouse safety, and logistics.

Prior experience in dealership or fleet maintenance companies.

Certification in inventory or logistics management.

Exposure to SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
