Job Title: Senior WordPress Developer
Experience Required: 5+ Years

Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to lead and manage WordPress-based web development projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress architecture, custom theme and plugin development, performance optimization, security best practices, and modern front-end technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
Maintain and enhance existing WordPress websites with scalability, performance, and security in mind.
Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to translate business needs into functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites.
Implement responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js if applicable).
Optimize websites for speed and SEO performance.
Conduct regular site maintenance, updates, and performance audits.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Stay current on the latest web technologies and WordPress developments.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing WordPress websites.
Expert in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
Strong experience in building custom themes and plugins.
Proficient with WordPress core functions, hooks, and filters.
Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and custom fields (e.g., ACF).
Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
Good understanding of SEO, web performance optimization, and security best practices.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment tools is a plus.
Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms.
Familiarity with headless WordPress and JAMstack architecture.
Understanding of DevOps tools and environments (Docker, Vagrant, etc.).
Contributions to the WordPress community (themes, plugins, support forums, etc.).
