Job Description
Position Name: Senior Test Engineer
Key Responsibilities: 3 5 years of years experience in QA domain.
Reviewing quality specications and technical design documents to provide timely and
meaningful feedback
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers to understand
requirements and ensure test coverage.
Design and implement comprehensive API testing strategies using tools like Postman,
RestAssured, or SoapUI.
Experience with automating test data management for API and frameworks tests.
Experience with Open source test automation tool
Hands on experience with open source web automation tools (selenium , Playwright
preferred) along with knowledge of commonly used Test Design patterns, externalizing
congurations etc.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or
GitHub Actions.
Perform database validation using SQL across dierent DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL,
MongoDB, NoSQL).
Work within Docker/Kubernetes (K8s) environments to simulate real-world test
scenarios.
Demonstrated experience in distributing test execution across many machines and
consolidating execution including test dependencies.
Demonstrated experience in executing load tests, soak tests, stress tests, availability
test and other forms of non-functional tests.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Problem solving techniques & Interpersonal skills.
Ability to proactively identify, analyses and solve problems eectively.
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, reviewing their work and guiding their
technical growth.
Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices.
Provide timely and eective communication of testing status, issues, and risks to
stakeholders.
Required Qualications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related eld.
3-5 + years of experience in software or system testing, with at least 2 years in a senior
or lead role.
Hands-on experience in QA with a strong focus on Automation , APIand Performance
testing.
Procient in at least one scripting/programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript,
etc.).
Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
Experience testing in microservices and cloud-based architectures is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Preferred Qualications:
Experience in performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
ISTQB certication or equivalent is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Flexible work schedule; remote work may be available.
Occasional overtime during release cycles.
