Job Description

Role & responsibilities

An NSX Senior Engineer is responsible for providing support for VMware NSX environments. This role involves handling complex issues, implementing solutions, and leading projects related to network virtualization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement VMware NSX solutions to meet business requirements.
• Manage and maintain the VMware NSX infrastructure.
• Resolve issues related to VMware NSX operations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex network problems.
• Implement automation scripts to streamline network operations.
• Create reports for performance, troubleshooting, and capacity planning using VMware vCenter and vRealize Operations Manager (vROps).
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Perform regular system monitoring and analysis to ensure network performance and availability.
• Implement security measures and protocols to protect virtualized networks.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures and user guides.
• Develop and update documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of NSX with other systems.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 9-11 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on VMware NSX.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in NSX, vSphere, vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), and related technologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex network issues.
• Teamwork: Ability to actively participate and contribute to network related projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present technical solutions.

Certification:

• VCP-NV(mandatory)
