Automation Test Engineer @ Toppan Merrill

Job Overview:

As a QA Automation Engineer for our cutting-edge iXBRL solution, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our product. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and create automated and manual test scripts. If youre passionate about working with innovative technology and contributing to a high-impact project, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of the iXBRL solution.
• Implement test automation frameworks and tools to optimize the testing process.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews).
• Document test cases, plans and results to ensure clear traceability and maintainability.
• Continuously assess and improve test strategies, tools, and processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in a QA Automation Engineer role or similar.
• 3+ Years of experience in Cypress
• Proficiency in test automation tools like Postman.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript for writing automated test scripts.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with XBRL and iXBRL financial reporting standards is a plus.
