Job Description
Position: Data Engineer
Location: Costa Rica, ( Central America)
Relocation: Visa By Company- and accommodation by company for 1or 2 months.
Domain - Strong Retail banking experience / Banking Domain
8+ years of extensive work experience and deep knowledge in Core Python/pyspark programming
Experience in Big Data technologies including pySpark & Python
V Good knowledge and work experience in Unix commands, Shell scripts etc.
Expertise in software engineering principles such as design patterns, code design, testing and documentation.
Hands-on experience working with large volumes of data including different patterns of data ingestion, processing (batch & real-time), movement, storage and access (for both internal and external to BU) and ability to make independent decisions within scope of project.
Writing effective and scalable codes, implementing robust, and maintainable Python applications
Extensive experience in all the below concepts to build frameworks:
Modules, Classes, Methods, Iterators, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstract classes,
Decorators, Generators, Metaclasses
Magic methods, Datastructures, collections, itertools
ETL - TalenD preferred / Any other ETL tool Creating and working with Virtual Environment and installing required packages using pip
Working with REST API, Exception handling, Regular expressions
Strong problem-solving skills
A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of
Good in database systems such as SQL/NoSQL, and Dev Ops tools like Git, Jenkins etc,
Developing and maintaining data pisalines and ETL processes. Debugging applications to ensure low latency and high availabilty
Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently and provide technical solutions
Excellent communication skills
Banking domain knowledge is an added advantage
Should have good Team Leadership capabilities and experience
Certification - Certified Associate in Python Programming
Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0
