Job Description
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network systems. Ensure that the network infrastructure meets company requirements and is scalable for future growth.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of network systems. Proactively address potential issues and perform network upgrades and enhancements.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network issues, including hardware and software problems, connectivity issues, and configuration errors. Resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Network Security: Implement and enforce network security protocols to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data. Conduct regular security assessments and patch vulnerabilities as needed.
- Network Configuration: Configure network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Ensure proper configuration of network devices and systems to optimize performance.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of network configurations, system setups, and updates. Ensure all network procedures are well-documented for troubleshooting and future reference.
- Performance Monitoring: Use network monitoring tools to continuously track network performance and reliability. Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT teams (such as systems administrators and support teams) to ensure seamless network integration with other technology systems and applications.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure, ensuring business continuity in case of network failures.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors for network hardware, software, and support services. Ensure that contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
