- The Power BI Developer within the Customer Proposition Execution Excellence team will own the development, simplification, stabilization and continual improvement provide development support of the for the collection and business data collection and reporting tool via Microsoft s Power Platform, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint.
- This role will support the Customer Proposition Execution Excellence team to provide automation and drive accurate tracking, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support and achieve their business objectives
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and continuously expand Snowflake data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities;
- Serve as the main Application and Database Developer / Administrator
- Perform stabilization and optimization of databases, data sets, data flows, queries and views
- Develop and maintain the data models, data flows and applications that underpin our dashboards and reports
- Design, develop and implement continual improvements to the Power Apps tools
- Deliver ad-hoc enchantments and improvements to the power apps tools upon request
- Identify opportunities to simplify applications, data flows and databases to enable effective execution tracking and reporting in the business health dashboards
- Support Architect, Data Warehouse Systems Integration in expanding the data models and tools
- Work with the Data Engineer to develop queries and views for ad-hoc data extraction from Snowflake
- Enhancement and maintenance of the Patient De-Duplication and Matching in Snowflake
- Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions to design, develop, and test
- Developing and managing the ETL packages that utilize open source tools.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Desirable:
- Experience with a variety of programming and scripting languages and frameworks, including but not limited to Python, DAX, Power Query Formula Language (M), SQL, MDX and R
- Previous demonstrable development experience with reporting tools and technology (Power BI, Power Query, Dataflows, Power Apps, Canvas Apps, Business Objects, Tableau, Tableau Prep, MS SQL, Salesforce, Snowflake)
- Demonstrable experience with Application Development, Infrastructure Delivery Automation, Orchestration, Configuration Management and Testing tools;
- Extensive experience with ETL and Data Transformation tools such as Matillion, Snowflake and AWS
- In-depth understanding of database management systems and scripting (SQL, NoSQL and distributed databases)
- Knowledge and experience with data warehouse design and data modelling principles
- Extensive experience in system and data migration for mission critical technologies
- Experience in driving ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices, tools processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate directly with peers and senior managers while leading development to a completed and successful solution
- Experience in engaging closely with Solution Architects and Data Use teams to deliver highly available and scalable Business intelligence (BI) services with minimal/zero downtime
- Passion for automation and efficiency
- Experience working with JIRA and Salesforce
- Knowledge and experience with cloud environment
- Microsoft Power Platform certified
