About the job

Facility Manager will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical,

electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems ,and Soft services like HK,Canteen,Transport etc,to ensure

optimal operating results. The holder of this position will oversee the company's facility

operations, manage staff, manage office moves and manage The Asst.Manager of General

Services will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and supporting the daily operations of

the Campus and ensuring it is maintained to a high standard. He/She will have to

liaison/manage/work with Government bodies, External service providers and internal

departments to ensure the Campus runs smoothly without any disruption in compliance to all

statutory regulations as required by the law. Will develop the strategy for the department and

manage policies and processes to reach world class standards and set benchmark best

practices Prepare and manage budgets of the department and optimize costs as required.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of MEP,Transport, Housekeeping,Pest

Control, Canteen and Garden at the warehouse.

  • Coordinate with Government Agencies/Offices like Electricity Board, Karnataka State

Pollution Control Board, Karnataka Ground Water Authority, Department of

Telecommunications, Department of Factories and Boilers, Fire Department, Local

Police both Traffic and Law & Order, Municipal office and others as required to keep the

Campus compliant to all statutory requirements and ensure smooth operations without

disruption.

  • Assign, allocate resources and plan routine day to day activities.
  • Co-ordinate internally with the various departments to manage requirements.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to IMS.
  • Ensure the Campus is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best

conditions.

  • Monitor the Cost Centre Budget on a monthly basis and take actions for deviations and

manage costs within the budget(CAPEX and Opex).

  • Ensure sustainability goals and targets, set internally, are met.
  • Meet all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure Business stability.
  • Support in organizing employee engagement activities.
  • Plan and coordinate all infrastructure projects, expansions and refurbishments.
  • Act as the first point of escalation and manage incidents in case of building emergencies
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies across the campus.
  • Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Plan for business continuity and ensure 100% uptime through proactive measures
  • Supervise all external service providers and contractors.
  • Supervise and manage soft service providers such as housekeeping, pest control, and

landscaping to ensure high-quality service delivery

  • Plan and co-ordinate space requirement in the offices and other areas (like parking).

  • Maintain records, reports and files as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and expenses
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for facilities and equipment
  • Any other responsibility assigned from time to time.

Qualification & Skills

  • BE/Diploma - Electrical Engineering,Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in facilities management or a related domain
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems and Soft skills
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Should Know local language
