Job Description

Position Overview:


We are seeking a candidate involves assisting with the planning, coordination, and management of travel arrangements for our organization. The trainee is expected to learn the ins and outs of travel management, working under the supervision of more experienced professionals. The job often provides an entry point into the travel and tourism industry, offering hands-on experience and an opportunity to develop various skill sets related to travel services.

Key Responsibilities:


Travel Booking & Coordination

  • Assist in booking domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and transportation services.
  • Ensure travel arrangements are cost-effective and meet the organizations requirements and preferences.

Travel Itinerary Management:

  • Help prepare detailed itineraries for travelers, including flight schedules, accommodation details, transportation, and activities.
  • Ensure all components of the trip are well organized and clearly communicated.

Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct research to identify the best travel options, taking into account budget, convenience, and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on travel industry trends, promotions, and new services available from travel suppliers.

Employee Support & Communication:

  • Provide support to travelers by addressing their questions or issues related to bookings and travel arrangements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for travelers during their trips, helping resolve problems such as flight delays, cancellations, or accommodation changes.

Policy & Compliance Adherence:

  • Ensure travel arrangements comply with the company's travel policies and guidelines.
  • Help ensure travelers adhere to company-approved suppliers, booking processes, and travel restrictions.

Expense Tracking & Reconciliation:

  • Assist in tracking travel expenses and ensuring all costs stay within budget.
  • Help process travel-related invoices and reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate records of travel-related expenditures and manage cost-control measures.
