Job Responsibilities:
* Work with Platform Architects and Solution Architects to design, develop, test Kubernetes enterprise infrastructure based on the applications/services needs
* designs Cloud, hybrid & in-premises deployment architecture solutions using Kubernetes, Docker
* review enterprise applications/services and design the right set of orchestration and deployment options
* Design, Orchestrate and manage containers preferrably Docker containers using declarative programming of Pods, labels, annotations, ReplicaSets and Deployments
* design/setup/govern enterprise image registries & communication with relevant image registries
* design/author/setup Continuous Delivery models with Kubernetes supporting image builds, shift-left operational practices and automated testing with continuous feedback
* design/author/promote enterprise level Helm charts, dynamic injection of Secrets, load balancing Pod replicas using Service Object, DaemonSet, automate sharing of filesystem resources using Basic or Persistent volumes
* design/develop health management of applications / services using Prometheus, Splunk or Datadog
* design/develop log collection and analysis using LogStash/Fluentd or ElasticSearch/Kibana
* Provide technical guidance and coaching to architects, developers and engineers
* Applies programming tools, procedures, functions and routines towards delivering the assigned task or activity.
* Good knowledge of source code configuration management software involving check-in/check-out process.
* Good knowledge of Git, execution of Devops pipelines in Jenkins/Gitlab/Github Actions etc..
* Work with Lead/product management team to provide accurate effort estimates, plan deliverables, determine risk assessment and estimate resource needs
* Participate in discussions (involving onsite/offshore teams) of requirement analysis/clarifications, architecture, design and development
* Participate in reviews and implementation of SDLC/PDLC methodologies to ensure high quality software within the schedules and also in testing backups ensuring maximum up-time and maximum performance of database.
Skill Set:
* 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience in designing and developing container based applications and services.
* Relevant hands-on experience in Kubernetes and containerization technology, preferably Docker containers
* Hands on experience with designing deployment architecture solutions, load balancing and autoscaling Kubernetes Pods, applications and microservices
* Hands-on with Docker
* Hands on experience with python, shell scripting with bash preferred.
* Familiarity with log collection, cluster/applications/services monitoring using LogStash, Prometheus, ElasticSearch/Kibana, Splunk or Datadog"
