Data Analyst @ Globallogic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with 610 years of experience in handling large volumes of cloud cost, usage, and operational data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud cost optimization, data analysis, and building insightful dashboards using modern BI tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze semi-structured/unstructured data using Python to derive actionable insights.
• Design and execute SQL queries to manipulate, retrieve, and optimize large datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
• Utilize AWS (Athena, Glue) and GCP (BigQuery) services for cloud cost data analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Operations teams to track and optimize cloud usage and spend.
• Build automated pipelines and cost optimization reports that drive savings and accountability.
• Support budget forecasting and anomaly detection through data models and visualization.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and integration.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Practical knowledge of AWS Glue, Athena and GCP BigQuery.
• Proven experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps principles.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability).
• Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, or forecasting in cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
