Job Description
the The civil supervisor will oversee daily operations at construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with quality standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing site staff, enforcing safety regulations, and reporting progress to senior project managers. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to resolve on-site challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources, labor, and materials to meet project deadlines.
- Address on-site challenges such as material shortages, unforeseen obstacles, or technical discrepancies.
- Maintain a productive and disciplined work environment through effective team management.
2. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce health and safety regulations to create a risk-free worksite.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to local building codes and safety protocols.
- Implement corrective measures for safety hazards and train personnel on emergency procedures.
- Ensure that all site personnel have necessary training, certifications, and permits as per industry regulations.
3. Project Monitoring & Quality Control
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution in line with design specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with construction standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between construction plans and actual site execution.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret blueprints and ensure proper implementation.
4. Reporting & Communication
- Maintain accurate daily site reports, progress logs, and inspection records.
- Communicate project updates effectively with senior management, clients, and engineers.
- Ensure proper documentation of all modifications and decisions made during construction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in site supervision, project execution, and construction safety management.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools, construction documentation software, and reporting systems.
