Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing procedures. You will collaborate closely with our development and QA teams to ensure that all software releases meet high standards of functionality, usability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform All Four Levels of Software Testing:
- Unit Testing: Validate individual components or modules for correct functionality.
- Integration Testing: Ensure seamless interaction between software modules.
- System Testing: Verify the complete system meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Acceptance Testing: Validate software against business requirements from an end-user perspective.
Apply Various Software Testing Techniques:
- Equivalent Class Partitioning
- Boundary Value Analysis
- State Transition Testing
- Pairwise Testing
- Error Guessing
Execute the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC):
- Requirement Analysis: Understand and analyze testable requirements.
- Test Planning: Define objectives, scope, strategy, and resource requirements.
- Test Design: Develop comprehensive test cases and test data.
- Test Environment Setup: Configure required hardware/software and data environments.
- Test Execution: Perform tests, document results, and report bugs.
- Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and manage bugs using defect tracking tools.
- Test Reporting: Create detailed reports and testing metrics.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with software testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience testing web and mobile applications.
- Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and technologies.
