Mission and Goals:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers focused on building cutting-edge solutions using AWS services, a modern frontend stack (ReactJS, Node.js, TypeScript), and AI/ML-driven data analytics. This role requires a balanced skill set, combining hands-on technical leadership with exceptional people management to drive project success, foster team growth, and deliver impactful results.
Objectives:
- Technical Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications leveraging AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Bedrock, Sagemaker, API Gateway) and a frontend/backend stack including ReactJS, Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
- AI/ML & Data Analytics: Guide the team in integrating AI/ML models and data analytics solutions to enhance product capabilities and insights.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, research engineers, and automation engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Project Delivery: Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Architecture & Strategy: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, system architecture, and best practices.
- People Development: Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide coaching to support career development and skill enhancement.
- Operational Excellence: Drive agile processes, optimize workflows, and ensure adherence to security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other engineering teams, data teams, and business units to align on objectives and deliver integrated solutions.
Competencies:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Deep expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
- Experience leading AI/ML or data analytics initiatives, with an understanding of relevant frameworks and tools.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor diverse technical teams, with a focus on both technical and interpersonal growth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience scaling teams and systems in a fast-paced environment.
