Job Description
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, of Insurance servicing applications/ systems.
- Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies, statistical techniques, and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and drive implementation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Assess internal and external data sources to understand what data is useful to the organisation.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the data source and map the data contents to business requirements.
Enable the data engineers with business context to build solutions using the identified data.
Create metadata maps (Source-to-target maps) that will enable business to understand the contents of the data source.
Test the data constructs to ensure that the data pipelines apply business rules and mappings correctly.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Assesses options and proposes solutions in cooperation with senior management which could impact the organisation at a tactical level.
- Focuses on business imperatives of significant operational importance at a specific point in time.
- Assess internal and external data sources for their usefulness and do detailed mapping of the source (STTM) to business requirements.
- Train and upskill potential consumers of the data sources.
- Documents findings in a detailed STTM for data engineers to consume when working on the data source.
- Ensure that the STTM is loaded in the enterprise data catalogue i.e. Alation and consumers are aware of the availability of the metadata.
- Provides ongoing support to data engineers from the ingestion of the data to the delivery of the consumable product e.g., Redshift data warehouse.
- Provides thought leadership and develops knowledge base within field of expertise.
