Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Platform Engineer to join our growing IT team. This role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring within Google Workspace, Azure, and providing basic domain-related support and timely and effective technical support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT systems. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for delivering excellent support.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Google Workspace /Azure/ Domain Administration:
- Configure and troubleshoot email accounts within Google Workspace.
- Assist users with Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Google Workspace.
- Assist in setting up and troubleshooting Google Meet and other collaboration tools.
- Will be working on generating reports and configuring controls on Azure Cloud Defender
- Working knowledge of Cpanels of Web hosting providers like Godaddy and HostGator.
- End-User Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in person, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing prompt and courteous support.
- Domain and Network Support:
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and wired connections.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Understand basic IP address concepts.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance and repairs.
- Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment.
- Assist in the setup of new hardware.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Provide training to employees on IT systems and software applications.
- Create and maintain user guides.
Skills & Competencies:
- Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux
- Google Workspace: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Meet
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi
- Hardware: Desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals
- Ticketing Systems like service desk and Jira
- Basic Domain knowledge.
Eligibility Criterion:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of domain names, DNS, and networking concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused attitude and a passion for providing excellent service.
