Job Description
- We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead - Data Engineering Services to drive our data initiatives and enhance our data-driven decision-making capabilities
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flow, and ensuring data reliability across various platforms
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic data solutions and improve overall data architecture
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, ensuring high data quality, integrity, and security
- Develop ETL/ELT processes and integrate data from multiple sources into a unified data ecosystem
- Optimize and manage large-scale data processing and analytics infrastructure
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable data-driven insights
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations
- Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
Required Skills Qualifications:
- Proficiency in any cloud stack (AWS, Azure, GCP), Databricks/Snowflake, Python, SQL, PySpark, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining enterprise data platforms
- Experience in business, stakeholder and customer management working through AGILE methodologies and strong project management skills Background in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), retail sector, or supply chain management
- 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing distributed applications
- Experience managing complex Proof of Concept (POC) and pilot projects
- Expertise in building data pipelines, ELT design, data warehousing, and SQL/data modeling
- Identify and address skill gaps, and provide opportunities for professional development to plan, execute, and deliver data engineering projects on time and within scope Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and define project timelines
- Has strong conceptual understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL, Data Governance and Security, Cloud Computing, and Batch Real Time data processing Knowledge of engineering best practices and version control (Git)
- 7-10 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in relevant roles, preferably within consulting and working with retail/CPG clients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud data services (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Data Engineer, etc)
- Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps
- Experience with streaming data technologies
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
