Scope
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team of IT professionals. The DBA will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure high performance and data integrity. You will work as part of a global team committed to delivering innovative solutions in the dental and healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient and optimized database systems.
  • Ensure optimal performance and data integrity of the database systems.
  • Monitor and tune database systems to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Conduct regular database system updates along with performing transformation, migration, and scripting tasks.
  • Ensure data security and integrity through backups and access controls along with managing robust data recovery strategies.
  • Conform to Dentsply Sirona development standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Be available for on-call support as needed.
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Typical Background
Education
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • MCA certifications is a plus.
Years and Type of Experience
  • 5+ years of solid experience as DBA in SQL Server database technologies in Windows Server & Linux environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
  • Proven working experience in database monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling.
  • Experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
