About Role:
A Power BI Developer with 2-3 years of experience is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI and related Microsoft BI tools. The role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights through interactive dashboards and reports, supporting better decision-making across the organization
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business requirements in the context of business intelligence and data analytics.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that are visually appealing and interactive
- Map and model data to shift raw data into meaningful insights, including building multi-dimensional data models
- Write complex DAX queries and functions to support advanced calculations and data analysis
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes
- Ensure data security, quality, and compliance with best practices in all BI deliverables
- Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI scripts and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Develop and document algorithms, parameters, and data models for transparency and future reference
- Provide training and support to end users on Power BI features and reports
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, trends, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including report/dashboard creation and data modeling
- Strong expertise in business intelligence concepts, data modeling, and data visualization
- Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query for data transformation
- Solid knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Data Analytics including Fabric is a plus
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and database management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Power BI certification is an advantage
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to changing business requirements and priorities
- Experience in developing custom visuals or integrating Power BI with other applications is a plus. Embedded Power BI knowledge / experience is a plus
