Job Description
Key Purpose of the Job:
The Cloud Solutions Architect (CSG) is responsible for technically partnering with the sales team
in the pre-sales process. This includes understanding the technical IT requirements of
prospective partners / end customers and designing system architecture for appropriate cloud based solutions. The role holder is responsible for presenting and selling the solutions to the
customers, carrying out Proof of Concepts (POC) / product demonstrations and preparing BOM
& costing estimates. The role holder provides technical training to channel partners, inside sales
and product teams. The role holder also provides technical input and support to the managed
services team for post-sales migration / implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for understanding the technical IT requirements of prospective partners /end customers in detail, for design of appropriate cloud-based solution..
- Be responsible for presenting / selling the solution to customers, including providing technical clarifications, completion of POC, product demonstrations, BOM and cost estimates preparation.
- Provide technical support and training to channel partners, sales, and product teams, including inputs and support for post-sales migration and implementation activities.
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create bill of materials, including required Cloud Services (such as EC2, S3 etc.) and tools.
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
- Design the AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets Design the HA / DR strategies.
- Proven experience assessing clients workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and Cloud adoption roadmap.
- Experience to build scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures) .
- Understand and document technical requirements from clients, exp in building solutions & RFP's Define Migration strategy to move application to cloud.
Educational Qualification / Experience Desired:
Engineering graduate in CS / IT / EEE / ECE (or) Postgraduate in Computer Science.
Experience of around 8 to 12 years in IT domain with relevant experience of 4+ years as a tech
pre- sales/Solution Architect for cloud-based product offerings (or) Equivalent experience in
technical consulting / technical support / systems engineering for networking / server / storage
/ software /security products.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Certification on AWS architecture desirable
