Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Filing of Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits, and other annual certifications, Statement of Financial Transactions, foreign tax credit claims, and Transfer Pricing documentation (Master File & Country-by-Country Reporting) and Advance Tax calculations and payments.
- Manage assessments, appeals, and litigation matters including representation before the Income Tax Tribunal and coordination for High Court writs and appeals and Liaise with consultants and income tax authorities for resolving litigation, obtaining refund claims, and lower deduction certificates.
- Provide advisory on domestic and international tax matters, including interpretation of tax treaties and Stay updated with latest amendments and ensure proper implementation of budget changes in TDS and other applicable provisions.
- Ensure accurate computation of income tax and deferred tax provisions in financial statements.
- Evaluate and report contingent tax liabilities appropriately in books of accounts.
- Coordinate with auditors for disclosures and queries related to taxation
- Lead or participate in direct tax-related automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls over taxation.
Educational Qualification / Experience Desired:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Direct Taxation.
3. Strong technical knowledge of Income Tax laws, TDS, and tax litigation.
4. Experience in handling tax assessments, appeals, and regulatory interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
