Overview

A leading retail group in Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead store operations and drive performance across a large-format supermarket or hypermarket setup. This is a senior-level, full-time, on-site role suitable for dynamic leaders with a proven background in high-volume retail management. The ideal candidate must be result-driven, process-oriented, and capable of managing large teams and multi-functional operations effectively.

$1500 $2000 per month (commensurate with experience and performance)

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Up to 45 years

• Education: Any Diploma / Graduate / Postgraduate with relevant industry experience

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience as a Store Manager or Area Manager in Retail Supermarket / Hypermarket operations

• Nationality: Only candidates with Indian experience will be considered

• Industry Preference: Retail / E-Commerce / Quick Commerce / Logistics / Warehousing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end operations of the supermarket/hypermarket setup

• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly store performance in line with revenue and customer service goals

• Manage large teams including floor staff, supervisors, and department heads

• Monitor sales, stock movement, inventory control, and replenishment processes

• Ensure adherence to SOPs, store policies, and compliance with legal and safety regulations

• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost control

• Coordinate with merchandising, supply chain, and warehouse teams for timely product availability

• Develop action plans based on business analysis and customer feedback

• Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training programs

• Ensure store hygiene, visual merchandising, and an overall high-quality customer experience
