Job Description
Role Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the health, availability, and security of critical IT infrastructure through real-time monitoring, incident detection, response coordination, and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
NOC Duties:
- Monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and servers using NMS tools.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and system outages (Level 1 & 2).
- Maintain 24x7 uptime via proactive alerts.
SOC Duties:
- Analyze security alerts/logs via SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
- Respond to threats (malware, DDoS, brute-force, etc.).
- Support incident response and forensic analysis.
- Document and escalate security incidents.
General Duties:
- Maintain shift logs and reports.
- Collaborate with IT/security teams and vendors.
- Adhere to compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Support audits and security awareness activities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
- Experience: 24 years in NOC/SOC, networking, or cybersecurity.
- Technical Skills:
- TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, routing protocols
- Tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, QRadar
- Systems: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, Windows/Linux
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, documentation, communication
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA, Security+, CEH
- ITIL exposure is a plus
