Senior Product Manager, Environment Engineering @ Guidewire Software

As the market leader in P&C insurance software, Guidewire must maintain a clear understanding of our customer needs and has built an industry platform - Guidewire Cloud Platform - to enable the products and solutions that serve those needs. Traditionally delivered on-premises and self-managed, today our customers are increasingly looking to leverage the power of the cloud to reduce IT complexity, minimize operational costs, and unlock innovations that can differentiate their business. More specifically, they want to transition select insurance lines of business for hosting in Guidewire Cloud so they can focus on business agility while Guidewire assumes full operational responsibility as a true Cloud/SaaS solution provider. Guidewire is looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive the development and maturity of our Environment Engineering capabilities. You will work with a talented team of engineers, and other key contributors focused on creating an environment engineering service serving a diverse set of users including internal developers, customers and SI partners. This initiative will drive faster innovation, reduce deployment risks, and create an open ecosystem for internal teams, external developers, and ISVs.

• Define and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and vision for Environment Engineering, with a deep understanding of Guidewire software.
• Deliver scalable, production-like environments that will empower the Guidewire community to build, test, and validate solutions with confidence.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment.

• 8 years of experience in the commercial enterprise/B2B software market, with at least 3+ years in technical product management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to customers, partners and colleagues.
• Experience with sandbox environments, particularly in cloud-based platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), services, and APIs.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and cost optimization strategies.
• Keen judgment in analyzing sophisticated problems to make meaningful prioritization decisions and provide appropriate direction to product teams.
• MA/MS and BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. MBA preferred.
