Job Summary:
The HR Immigration Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of employment-based immigration processes for U.S.-based employees. This role involves liaising with employees, legal counsel, and government agencies to ensure timely and compliant immigration filings. The specialist also provides guidance to HR business partners and hiring managers on immigration-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage employment-based immigration cases (H-1B, L-1, TN, OPT/CPT, green card, etc.) with external legal counsel.
Act as the primary point of contact for employees on immigration matters.
Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs) in coordination with attorneys.
Ensure compliance with immigration regulations including I-9, E-Verify, and Public Access Files (PAFs).
Prepare and review immigration support documentation and internal letters.
Track visa expirations and initiate extensions or changes of status as needed.
Assist in immigration-related audits and government site visits.
Stay updated on immigration law changes and communicate updates internally.
