Job Overview:
As an IT Business Analyst (BA), you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position involves understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions. The IT BA serves as a liaison between business users and the IT development team, translating business requirements into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather comprehensive and accurate information.
2. Analysis and Documentation:
- Analyze gathered requirements to identify business processes, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create detailed and clear documentation, including business requirements documents, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the IT development team.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other team members to ensure a common understanding of project goals and requirements.
4. Solution Design Support:
- Assist in the design and validation of IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Provide input during the development process to ensure alignment with business needs.
5. Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with testing teams to develop test cases based on business requirements.
- Participate in the testing process to ensure that the implemented solution meets business expectations.
6. Change Management:
- Support the change management process by assisting in the preparation of training materials and providing user training as needed.
Role and Responsibilities
Create requirements and specifications for business solutions
Conduct business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvement
Develop processes and procedures to ensure business solutions meet strategic goals
Ensure business processes are running in accordance with Agile methodologies
Consult with key stakeholders to determine business objectives and success factors
Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources including
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Write and document business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications
Work with information technology professionals to develop a solution that meets business requirements
Continuously improve existing business processes and strive to develop new ones to improve efficiency
In depth knowledge of Agile Methodology - SCRUM, Product Development and SDLC
Experience in Information Technology sector specifically in Product Management, Sprint Planning, Capacity Planning, Business Analysis, User Acceptance Testing, Client Demos
Skillset
Strong problem-solving and management skills
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Technical writing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other
Data visualization and data analysis experience not required but preferred.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, and Confluence
Educational Qualification:
B.E/ B.Tech / MCA
Experience: 4-7 Yrs
