Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Lead with 8-12 years of experience in Java/Selenium or any other automation platform. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in building automation frameworks from scratch, designing solutions for large-scale automation projects, and working in a Center of Excellence (CoE) model. This role requires strong leadership skills, mentorship capabilities, and the ability to drive automation initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Automation Frameworks: Build and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Lead Automation Initiatives: Design and implement automation strategies for large-scale projects, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentorship and Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and coach automation engineers in best practices, framework usage, and career growth.
• Center of Excellence (CoE) Contributions: Work within and enhance the CoE model to drive automation excellence across teams.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to align automation goals with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Research and implement industry best practices, emerging tools, and methodologies to enhance automation effectiveness.
• Test Coverage and Optimization: Improve test automation coverage, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Defect Analysis and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve automation failures, ensuring robust test execution and stability.
• AI/ML-Based Testing: Explore and implement AI/ML-driven testing solutions to enhance automation efficiency, predictive defect analysis, and intelligent test case generation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 8-12 years of experience in automation testing with a strong background in Java, Selenium, or any other automation tool.
• Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch and leading automation efforts in large-scale projects.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles.
• Exposure to API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Experience working in a Center of Excellence (CoE) model to establish best practices and drive automation innovation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to handle complex challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
